Kelsey Bethune | nesting scenes

koko's nest was inspired by the notion of nesting... We often associate "nesting" with women in their final weeks of pregnancy with the hormonal urge to clean and prep the home -- the "nest" -- for her upcoming baby. 

But we believe nesting is much more than that. It's that mental and emotional space where you make room for a type of love you KNOW you won't fully understand until it happens; you think about what family values you want to instill in your baby; you consider your current self and surroundings and reach acceptance, while also feeling a surge of optimism and inspiration that propels you forward; and you do a frantic dance between anticipating the baby's arrival and enjoying the quiet and solitude that will soon be forever altered.

We caught up with the adorable Kelsey Bethune of Tart Event Co. She's expecting her first baby any day now and these are some nesting scenes from her home in Washington, D.C.
